What Game Comes After Batman Arkham Knight
Batman is one of DC's most popular heroes. You've likely read the comics, watched the shows, or seen one of the movies at least. As it turns out, there are a few mobile Batman games out there. Earlier Batman mobile games actually weren't half bad for their time. However, the problem is that most of them aren't really any good or are so far out of date that we can't recommend them to people. We did find some decent titles, though. Here are the best Batman games for Android!
The best Batman games for Android
- Batman: The Enemy Within
- Batman: The Telltale Series
- DC Legends: Battle for Justice
- Injustice 2
- VRSE Batman
Batman: The Enemy Within
Price: Free / Up to $14.99
Batman: The Enemy Within is a former Telltale games title and part of the Telltale series (the other is linked just below). This is an episodic adventure game with tap-and-swipe mechanics and a heavy emphasis on the narrative rather than game play. Players navigate their way through various stories while making decisions that affect the game's outcome. The first season is free with each subsequent season running for $4.99 or you can get every season for $14.99. The game hasn't seen an update in a few years so make sure it works on your device before buying anything.
Batman: The Telltale Series is a point-and-click adventure game featuring Batman. It plays a lot like other Telltale Games titles. You work your way through a narrative story line in sort of a visual novel format. However, the decisions you make in the game impact the story and the game's ending. The graphics have a neat comic book style about them and the ambiance of the game is very positive. The game includes five chapters. Players get the first one for free and can buy the other four individually or as one big pack for $14.99.
DC Legends: Battle for Justice is technically a DC Comics game. However, it does feature Batman. It's a character collecting game. Thus, you spend most of your time collecting characters, building a team, and upgrading them. It includes a story mode, online PvP, daily and weekly events, and more. It's a freemium game and a bit of a cash grab. There are way worse games out there, though. This one should be fun for a few dozen hours.
Injustice 2 is a brawler game with a bunch of DC heroes. Yes, that includes Batman. The game features a variety of other characters as well. You create teams of three and battle them against either the computer or against other players. Each character is upgradeable. Additionally, it features campaign missions, online PvP, and more. It's a freemium game and the freemium strategy is a little bit aggressive. Still, this is one of the better fighting games and also one of the few with Batman.
VRSE Batman is a different kind of Batman game. It requires the Batman VRSE VR headset in order to play (along with its two controllers) so you have to head to eBay or another retailer to find one before you can play the game. The game is in virtual reality and a pretty neat little example of it. You throw your Batarang around, take out bad guys, and even engage in hand-to-hand combat. Some people have problems getting the app to work with the headset, but the ones who do find the game quite good. We recommend the other four games on the list before this one.
